restore computer to factory

I'm trying to restore my windows 7 dell computer to factory. I press the f8 key at the Dell logo and it does take me to the repair your computer option. However, when I click it it just starts the computer normally.

You dont want to repair, you want to restore it to factory image.

When you press F8, what is the list of options it gives you?

f8 should give you a list of options, repair your computer under that should be safe mode options and so on. arrow around till the repair option is highlighted. It should go through a few windows and pop up a system recovery options window, just follow the prompts. once through those it will open another window where you can select to do a system recovery.
