Motherboard Rampage 3 formula. Fresh install window 7 64 bit.

I turn on my computer and I have no internet. If I disable the hardware in device manager and re-enable it I some times get the internet. Some times It takes one cycle off/on and other it takes 5+ cycles off/on.

Used Advanced System Care driver update, Windows update, Some other paid software updates, When to the mother board main web site and down loaded the drivers, and I did not try random old drivers.

I did just move the location of my desk that forced me to re-route my LAN cable. It is the same cable but it is a long one.

Once the computer is connected to the internet I do not loose it with a fast and clean signal. I also can put my computer to sleep and then log back on I still have internet connection.

Please post any suggestions. I am at a point I will try duck tape.

You should have only used the drivers from the manufacturer. Paid driver programs are a scam and windows update can use the wrong driver sometimes. At that point I'd reformat and do a clean install of the manufacturers drivers only

I never thought of that. This makes sense. Thank you. After I try to do a bios update tonight and seeing that it did not work or I all ready have the latest bios I will do as you recommended.

Thank you this sounds like a working solution.

Last night I did find out the drivers for this adaptor are not rated for windows 7. It only goes up to Vista. I wonder if I have to format, install Vista, then the drivers, and finally upgrade to Windows 7.

Thanks for taking your time to help me.
