Not sure what WD Hard drive I should buy...

On newegg a WD Black is only $5 more than a WD Blue...I should get the Black right?
(thats with both HDD's having a 5 year warranty)

Should I get a SATA 6.0 HDD? ..whats the difference between SATA 3.0 and 6.0?

Parts:
Motherboard: GA-H81M-DS2V (SATA 6.0)
Video Card: GTX 550 TI
Proccesor: G3258

Solution
Black is a better drive then the Blue serries. If it is a $5 difference then go for the black.

Green = Budget (low speed, only good for backups)
Blue = Medium line (full speed, fine for a boot drive, even better for backups)
Black = Higher Line (will perform a little faster, best HDD for boot drive)
Red = NAS (ment for the abuse of constant read/write/rewrite
Purple = DVR (ment for constant write recording of security cameras)

As far as sata 6 or 3 in a hard drive it wont make any difference what so ever.
Sata 2 is 3gbps speed and Sata 3 is 6gbps, the best a 7200RPM drive can read is about 150mBps or 1200mbps (that is 1.2 gbps). So 3gbps or 6 gbps is going to be much faster then the drive can ever go. Its like choosing between...

Hi.
The Black drive is performance oriented and made for gaming and demanding apps with 5 years limited warranty and the Blue one is meant for everyday-usage, but has only 2 years limited warranty. So in this case I would go with WD Black.
The difference between SATA 2 and SATA 3 is in the read/write speed rates transfer it can hadle which is supported by the interface (the first one has 300MB/s and the second - 600MB/s).
Hope this helps.
Cheers! :)

There is no compatibility issues of a hard drive to a cpu or gpu.
The only thing to worry about is to the motherboard, and that is not really a concern because every sata format has been backwards compatible so you can use a sata 2 drive in a sata 3 board or a sata 3 drive in a sata 2 board with no worries at all.

As long as the hard drive itself is not broken or corrupted then it will just work.
