Just your thoughts on the 970.

Hi everyone! I was planning on getting a sapphire vapor x R9 290 a week ago, but after reading the reviews it seems to have some major bugs, So I heard about the new Nvidea 970 gtx.. What are your thoughts on the 970 so far? I ask this here as it seems the best place to get good answers.

the 9xx gpus really arent much more powerful than the current 7xx gpus but are much more power efficient.

seeing as how the new 980 will be between the 980 and 780ti in performance level then i'm going to go out on a limb and say the 970 is going to be between the 770 and 780 in performance.

the r9-290 is likely to be the more powerful card by a tiny margin as it competes with the 780 already but that shard to say without actual benchmark figures. they do run hot and draw much more power than nvidia though and given that the current 780 can be had at the same prices i'd go nvidia. even the 780ti is equal to the 290x prices right now which makes nvidia good.
