On GPUs with more than 2GB, GTA IV locks you out of changing the settings. Cards with more than 2GB didn't exist back then.

TY, I recently ran into this problem with my 7950 which has 3GB. Considering how relatively simple the fix is, I wonder why Rockstar never released a patch for newer GPUs. It tells you how concerned they are with the PC user base. I just hope that GTA V is more PC friendly than IV which is a high probability since the new consoles are x86-64.
