I got these 2 Mobo's for free, which one is better overall?

I know the boards are old, just curious which is better for a small time build for my little brother. Thanks

I'd probably go with the ASUS board for it's built-in WiFi and extra SATA connections. However, if you require more PCI-Ex1 slots for expansion cards, then the MSI is the obvious choice.

I have a wifi card Im going to be giving him so that really doesnt matter, are both the boards neck to neck?

Yeah they are. But keep the other one for spare, such old board are not guaranteed to run, assuming you got them second hand of course.
