Hello guys,

I'm building a really tight budget gaming rig and I'll be playing on 1440x900 games like tera and archeage (hopefuly both on max)

Now for the GPU I was planning on a MSI GTX650 OC 2GB DDR5, but I've heard that on low res memory is a waste.

Maybe it's better to get a 1GB DDR5 of another model and/or brand (although people say MSIs are good) and maybe try to get one with two fans instead of just one.

I'm really not sure, it costs 105€ in here and I'll be pairing it with an AMD FX6300, is there any better graphic card for the price or should I stick with this one?

More about : 2gb 1gb low res

For those games 1GB would be enough but I would recommend you to go for the 2 GB. As a time may come when you may need that extra VRAM.

Personally I would get the one with more memory so that you don't have to worry as much about turning down textures or turning up the anti-aliasing in games, but as long as you understand that with the 1GB model if you just turn the textures down or leave the AA off or on 2X and if you have performance issues to load up something like Afterburner that can watch to see if your memory is all used up and know to turn down these types of settings you shouldn't notice much of a performance difference assuming you are using 1GB or less.

The trouble is if you get the 1GB one and then want to do something like load a large texture pack in to Skyrim teh performance will be terrible because it will have to swap out textures all the time. So, it really depends on the usage.

I won't really play any of those really hardcore games (BF4 or so) but maybe yeah Diablo 3.

Say if I were to replace it with an ASUS R7 250 - 1 GB GDDR5, would I still be able to play those games on max?

:)  should be enough for max at that resolution. MMORPG's aren't much GPU intensive.
