Hey Hey! i have a Xeon e5420 to work on, and i need a mb and ram. It's for a cheap server so don't worry i got it for next to nothing. what mb can i get? i have 50$ on my paypal so i'm looking for something that i can get for around that price

Not going to be able to get a working system out of $50. What other components do you have sitting around?

Just got harder you are looking for an LGA771 board, plenty used on ebay for cheap, but they don't look like they were working pulls.

I got everything but the mobo i got ram, hdd, case ,psu everything i also have a lga775 mobo and i seen people use the 771 chips on thoso mobo but i'm not sure about that

Looks pretty simple! I'll try and do that when i get my hands on that xeon I got it on ebay for around nothing lol so yea if it does work i get i'll have to stick with the core duo or something either way i'll post what happens here!
