Any serious problems or easy upgrades to be made with these parts? I just realised that the motherboard is micro ATX is this a disadvantage to a normal ATX as i am using a case which can use any of the 3 types of motherboard? Thanks

It will all work.
M-atx generally will work just the same as a full atx motherboard, minus some pcie lanes and potentially less Oc ability, but that doesnt matter in your case.
If you wanted to bumb your budget up by 25$ you could get the xeon e3-1230v3 as it performs like a i7 4770
Also the psu isn't haswell compatible, so you would need to disable c6 and c7 power states in bios(I believe)

These are the two changes I suggest for you

looks okay so far. you might take a 450-500w psu. should be more than enough for that system. and you might consider getting a ssd at least for your os. maybe also considering the r9 285. newer generation, same performance :)
