Final Adjustments on Gaming Build

I intend to use this PC for gaming, web surfing, and paper work. The game i will be playing is World of Warcraft: WoD. I will not be playing other games, this is the only one I'm interested in. Here are the system requirements: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/world-of-warcraft-system-requirements

Now I don't know much about hardware, so i have no idea on what parts are better than others so i am completely relying on responses. One guy gave me a really good build, which i will probably purchase:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($179.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($88.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($72.00 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($53.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X Video Card ($188.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Corsair SPEC-02 ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ NCIX US)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($86.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $795.91

I don't wanna go near 800$, since i think that is way too much money for the game i will be playing (ideally on high settings). This build looks nice, but please let me know if i should make changes, etc. Maybe I'm overkilling it with some parts?

Also, some guy said i should switch to a better PSU, because the one above is a low tier, based off this list: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

I appreciate all and any input, thanks

By far, the best deal for your money is getting one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Radeon-R9-270-2GB-256-Bit-GDDR5-PCI-Express-3-0-/171460242861?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item27ebd3adad

I know buying used isn't exactly the best idea, given that these were likely in mining rigs, but for $95, that is an insane deal. I got myself a used Gigabyte R9 270 on eBay for $87, and it performs wonderfully.

It would be a better idea to buy new because you will get the warranty and you will have a card that YOU will break in, but just wanted to insert that if it helps.

That system will do just fine for what you are looking for. For WoD, they are increasing the GPU requirements, making the game more GPU dependant than it has in the past. The PSU is a fine budget unit. Some people just have really high standards, and would sacrifice performance for it. It's not like it is a crappy Raidmax that will go up in smoke on you, the second you boot it up. Yes there are better ones out there, no doubt. For this system, it will be fine. Jonnyguru gave good marks to the 500b. I really don't see the 600b being worse.

Alright cool i'll stick with this psu, a lot of people make big deals of PSUs so i thought id be careful when choosing one. The build is great i was just wondering if any component was stronger than needed to save some cash, but ill probably get this to be safe i guess.

Oh also, if anyone can explain how important a good case is that would be great. I know air flow is important, but some people recomend a case for 20$, then some for 60$. Just wondering if the case matters much or is it more appearance

Actually, even my system bogs down in certain fights, now. 40+ man Ordos, world boss fight, drops me into the teens. A GTX 750 or 260x will play, but a 270x will not be overkill. Especially with the coming changes for Warlords. It will be more GPU dependant than previous expansions.

This is not a bad idea either. OP, do not go below an R9 270. A 750 or 260x would do ok now, but, as with every expansion, the graphical requirements for Warlords will be higher than Mists. You wouldn't be able to play with the same hardware one used back in Vanilla, today. That I can attest to, as I have been playing since late vanilla, early BC.

I remember reading somewhere that newer games like Geforce hardware more than Radeon hardware, besides if I remember correctly the equivalent Geforce of a Radeon uses much less power, meaning you could spend the same amount of money on a smaller power supply, but of better quality. (The one you selected is fine, at Tier 3, but you could PERHAPS get a Tier 2 Class A or B)

The thing about games favoring Nvidia hardware is BS. Nvidia equivalents of Radeon cards are usually a lot more expensive and power consumption is a negligible difference, unless you have an R9 290(X)

Ah, so I was wrong. :( But I still think that Nvidia is a better deal because while Radeon cards at the RECOMMENDED price are more performance per dollar, they are usually rarer and at retail stores they tend to be overpriced. The OP seems to be ordering online, so I guess this might not matter..... That might be BS as well but whatever.

Actually there are games out there that do favor Nvidia. On the same side of things, there are games that favor AMD as well. Generally though, AMD wins on price/performance. R9 290 is faster than a GTX 780, but costs less. The mining craze inflated prices for awhile, but that has settled down immensely from what it was.

I know that there are games that are slightly optomized towards Nvidia hardware, but the other guy said that modern games are favoring Nvidia hardware which is BS because modern games can also favor AMD as well. I guess I read it as "Most modern games favor Nvidia". Either way the difference (2-3fps) is negligible
