XFX R9 270x Issues

I just recently built my first computer at the beginning of this month. Everything was going great for the first couple of days until it started to crash. I've only noticed it when I'm gaming, but now it crashed while watching Netflix. There's been a lot of different ways it crashed. The very first time it crashed, the screen had gray and black lines running down it while the sound played for a little bit, but eventually cut out. Now, it just goes to a black screen and the sound cuts out right away. The most recent time it crashed, it went to a black screen, but the sound kept playing. I've reinstalled drivers and even rolled back to old drivers.

I've reduced the problem down to my video card. I've read a lot on it and I've read that it might be a voltage issue. When I use CPUID, it says it runs at 0.875V while idle. Is that normal? Another problem I read was that it was an HDMI issue. I do use my 32' Samsung TV as my monitor.

Here's my specs just in case something isn't compatible:
OS = Windows 8.1 64bit
Processor = Intel Core i5-4440 Processor
Memory = G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Motherboard = Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1150
Power supply = Rosewill Hive 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX
Video Card = XFX Radeon R9 270X 2GB Double Dissipation
Storage = Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM

Maybe another issue is that my motherboard is a micro ATX and my power supply is for a normal ATX MOBO? I'm not too sure if that'd be an issue, but just throwing the idea out there.

PSU 's ATX means different things with motherboards. Your psu shouldn't be a problem.
Make sure you using the latest drivers 14.4.
Get it from AMD driver website:http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

There a chance you have a faulty gpu. You may want to RMA it.

Using it with a TV shouldn't matter. It is most likely not the TV's fault neither the HDMI.
Voltage wise is probably correct. Voltage is lower than 1V at idle.

Hello,

I would guess either the GPU or one of the sticks of ram. If you dont have more GPU's to test, you may want to RMA it back to us here at XFX.

Please PM me with a ticket # from xfxsupport.com and ill get your RMA started.

Thank you
