Ok so i had a nvidia 8400 graphics card working on my hp elite 8000 for a while. I took it out recently and put it back in, now i get no video signal. None from the motherboard either while the card is in. If i take the card out the video works.

The card fan spins and sounds fine.

How can i fix this problem? Do i need to install the drivers from the CD first and then put the graphics card in?

I had uninstalled all the drivers but still when i did this the first time around the graphics card worked fine without the drivers.

It's normal for a graphic card to disable the motherboard's video outputs. It assume you using the graphic card to output the display.

I would say you have broke the graphic card and when you put it in the onboard video gets disabled, try the graphic card in another computer to see if it works.
