Im building my gaming PC very soon but i still cant afford my dedicated graphics card. I was wondering if i could buy all the parts, build the whole thing, and then use it normally (Not for gaming, of course) until i can get the dedicated graphics card. Now im buying a 4690k i5 CPU which supposedly has integrated graphics which should run the pc and all. I was wondering if it'll work just like that? Do i just install the pc like i normally would? Is there anything specific i need to buy for the integrated graphics to work? Like a special motherboard or something? Thanks for the help.

Yes, you can just run off the igpu.

Actually, that igpu is powerful enough at you could run games like portal 2 at 1080P just fine. So a little gaming won't hurt.

as long as your motherboard has onboard graphics you should be all right.there has to be a connection on the motherboard to plug in your monitor.

The latest Intel and AMD processors have integrated GPU into the processor.

Dont worry, you can use it as it is.No need to buy something extra but make sure your psu and motherboard can support processor. You will have a decent gaming performance with it(Really.I tried NFS RUN in low settings without any lag and cod mw2 with some).Till then use intel graphics with swiftshader(if you want to game till then).
