my screen freezes

when im playing some games my screen will freeze but i can still hear the game going on in the back ground just can see anything then ill try to alt tab or widows key out of the game the screen goes black like the game crashes in windowed mode and i cant do anything like i cant go to the web cant do anything else execpt look at the black screen the only way to fix it it to turn computer off or sign out then back in *note i have tried pulling up task manager and nothing happens

nvidia 650 ti
32gb ram
i7 processor
1tb harddrive
unknown power supply and motherboard (prebuilt pc)

Maybe you don't have enough system RAM! 32GB is kind of on the low end

It COULD be your PSU, but from what you've described, I doubt it. What games and resolutions are you playing? Running windows 7? Also try opening the side of that case and give us an idea of that PSU if possible

I would recommend updating your graphics card drivers. I have seen this happen before where they would fail and not fully restore causing a black screen of doom!

Wuw, I disagree to the person who said 32GB of RAM is not enough. This statement is wrong. On the other hand it might be your RAM error. Try to run the game with 16GB of RAM arranged in dual channel (insert your ram in 2 & 4 slots or 1 & 3 slots) and run the game again.

It could also be driver error. Try lowering your RAM 1st and if this does not solve the issue try updating your drivers.
