Asus Mobo or MSI mobo?

Solution
If it was an Intel board I would highly recommend MSI as they have quality products that I have been using for years and have had absolutely zero problems with. I find that they tend to have less quirky issues than Asus and Gigabyte. I love my Z87 Mpower in my gaming machine. MSI has some great overclocking boards that can really allow you to push a CPU to its limit.

However, I generally find that Asus makes a better product when it comes to being socketed for AMD. Out of these two choices I would choose the AMD, although if you like the looks of the MSI more, it is still definitely a great product.
If you're going to overclocking, the ASUS is superior. I do not believe that even that GD80-variant of the MSI 990FX boards has options for controlling the Load Line Calibration - something that is nice to have for obtaining stability when overclocking.

The MSI is still nothing to sneeze at, though.

Thank you all for the help :) I decided to go for the MSI board even though most choices were Asus. The reasoning is simply that I feel as though the msi will better fit my needs, although I will be going with the amd fx-8350. I won't be overclocking it too much, so I see no problem in the msi as I will probably only go up to 4.5. Thanks to everyone who helped!

If you are going with the FX-8350 I would recommend the Asus board. I love MSI but I would definitely recommend Asus when it comes to the FX lineup. The price is honestly negligible and it is a featured board that should have everything that you want.

The Asus has one less fan header on it so if you want to have many fans, I would recommend the Silverstone CPF01 PWM fan splitters. I use them in all of my builds and they function perfect while looking good as they are sleeved.
