I recently finished building my new PC, and this morning I installed Windows 8.1 and embraced the journey of configuration and installation process. But I'm stuck at one problem: the graphics. I was attempting to run some games to test out the system when the didn't run because the proper graphic driver wasn't installed, just the generic Microsoft 2012 driver. I'm using inegrated graphics of the motherboard (Radeon HD 3000 Series), so, went to AMD page, downloaded the proper Catalyst installer, and ran it. Everything OK, All the components install well except the driver. In the log file just says "Driver Install: the specified driver package was not installed for matching devices". Trying to install the driver manually via the device manager and selecting custom path of the driver in the update driver window does not do anything, just says the same like auto install "windows determinatet that the current driver is the best" (my games say other thing). Even tried the auto-detect installer but says me "unable to identify your OS or device".

By the way, when I open the AMD Vision Engine control center, there are only 4 options in the advanced menu: Pinned, Presets, Performance and Power. Nothing like My monitors, Info, Video or something.

Solution
From what I can tell, the 760G chipset on that motherboard runs the AMD 3000 series graphics (the HD is a typo). Looking at AMD's Driver Download center, there are no Windows 8/8.1 drivers for your system's on-board graphics.

Step 1: Select the type of system that you have:
Integrated Motherboard Graphics

Step 2: Select the product family your product belongs to:
Radeon 3xxx Series

Step 3: Select your product:
Radeon 3000 Series

Step 4: Select the supported operating system that you have:
You'll note there is no Windows 8/8.1 option. Not sure what you downloaded previously, but it's the incorrect driver. This explains why if fails to install.

Admirable
Do fresh install.

1. Download DDU in the internet (search it).
2. Run DDU in safe mode.
3. Uninstall your GPU in the device manager.
4. Run CC cleaner to clean files.
5. Run CC cleaner to fix registry.
6. Reinstall the drivers (try running it in ADMINISTRATOR).

Hope you will solve it.
