So i have been having this odd issue, as i am playing guild wars 2 my game will flash black, but i can still move and act, and then it recovers as if nothing happened. it does this at random times and if i have been playing guild wars 2 it will still affect the computer even if i am no longer playing the game. i have checked temps and such and even been working with gw2 tech support but still nothing. so i thought i would ask here. please help.

Check your Windows Event logs. I'm guessing you're having video driver crashes followed by recovery. If you had another graphics card before your current one, make sure you removed all of its drivers before installing whatever you've got now. Then, make sure the current card's drivers are up to date.

actually no i have not had a video card before my current one, and going through my event viewer it does not show up, now that could be that i am not looking at it correctly as i do not know much about the event viewer, but as far as i can tell no errors related to my video card show. the video card is also fully up to date

Did you install Lucid Virtu MVP? If so, I'd disable it.

Your CPU cooler does nothing for motherboard components; check their temps too for overheating. One way to do this is take the side off your case and aim a common household fan into it while you're playing. If you have no problems, then something other than the CPU or graphics card is overheating.

placed a fan inside with side open and the tempatures seemed fine when i opened it, as the water cooler has to fans pointing into the case right above the board, but still have the flashes even just idling, after the game has been opened.

I believe nVidia just released another WHQL driver. You might install that and try again.
