Everything booted good, Put WIN7 ultimate,

Updated Bios 1701 (newest) A88X-Plus (asus)

Found the Catalyst driver , RN-WINLIN-14.201.1008, also tried 14.4. From their site.

install them and restart my PC and it goes to the WIN7 logo screen and right when the pointer appears. it goes black.

I can still hear windows load up to desktop.

IN Device manager, The SM Bus controller is yellow.. I can still get onlne in safe mode or if I don't install the Catalyst driver it boots normal.

Help?

AMD has a beta out, might try it, I tried 14.4 and the 14.7 with my 290X and had problems with each, ended up dropping to the 13.251 and that was stable, have sent a couple emails to AMD, and they 'duplicated' the problem(s) - (over two weeks ago) but no followup since then, have had problems with their cards on a few other builds w/ these last 2-3 driver releases also

I hink i have it figured out. I formatted my WIN7 and booted, Then installed the Catalyst beta 14.7. rebooted, everything loaded good. THEN i installed the LAN driver. booted and everything is good. installing other drivers and WIN7 update. seems to be good now.
