Hello folks ! I've been having this problem since I bought my new pc :

GTX 770 (Pny - 3 fans) GPU

GIGABYTE B85M-D3R Motherboard

Intel quad core i5 Desktop CPU

Corsair DD3 8GB Ram

250 GB SSD

1 TB HDD

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

So basically my problem is : I can do whatever doesnt require my GPU fine (Browsing, homeworks), but whenever I open up a game, my comp start going real slow, then eventually crashes after a few seconds of movement in the menus. (White stuff appears on the textures, lightning is all f**** up). I tried improving my PSU, from a 450w to a 600w, and then to a 650w+80 (Still waiting for this one). I updated my GPU drivers, tried the old ones too. My friend tried my GTX 770 in his computer with a 600w PSU, and it worked just fine. Now im wondering if the problem could be in my Motherboard ? I have installed the drivers that come on the disk with the mobo, but I didnt found any BIOS update, could it be the problem? Again, thanks for the help people ! Hope together we can fix this 1200$ non-working mess ;P

Solution
Use your friends power supply with your system and try that.

A good thing to start with is a clean Windows setup with all clean files and drivers. Also update the BIOS on the motherboard. Install the drivers from the website support page not what came with the disks. Those are fine for basic setup but are often outdated by several versions.

I just ran a test with GPU-Z that put some load on the card to verify the PCI-Express slot, and the second I press in for the test, my pc froze like never. So im wondering if my motherboard isn't the deal, specially the pci-express 3.0 slot..

I tested 3d Mark 11 demo on steam, i had to run the 720p version of it, but I essentially got that after a few seconds, maybe it could help some of you out ..
