Hello, I've recently built my own computer and I've noticed after 1-2 hours my frames in games drop significantly. I've tried benchmarking with heaven benchmark 4.0 right after boot and an hour after boot I received 2 significantly different results. When i benchmark it right after boot i get around 60 fps and when i do it an hour after i booted i get 30 fps and if i keep it on any longer it can go to 20s also.

i've tried running heaven 4.0 and it reaches around 70 degrees celsius ish, but i haven't tried it on the whole time as the fans were extremely loud i was afraid something was going to happen lol

Heaven isn't a CPU stress test it's a gpu which makes it quite concerning that the CPU was at 70. I'm talking prime 95 or intel burn test which will heat your CPU more than anything. It's fine that your fans are running at max, they should and it's not a problem for them for run that fast.

If you run either of those keep an eye on your temps, if they get to 80 stop the tests. My hunch is that will happen quickly. Your CPU is at stock settings correct? What CPU cooler do you have? I bet you need to reseat your cooler

What this sounds like is the PSU isnt up to the job probably or general overheating.

The GPU is under-performing, it can go up to 90C so something is keeping it from getting there. If heat is the problem, its throttling, you need more airflow in the case. open the side panel and stick a fan blowing inside (to get big airflow). If you see significant performance gains it was overheating.

If you see no gains from running cooler, the PSU is probably just not up to the job. Make sure fan profiles are set to go to 100% for CPU and GPU (BIOS/ASUS GPUtweak respectively).

What PSU do you have?

maybe the PSU has a failed part inside, it doesnt sound like the components are getting enough power, or motherboard/PCI settings somewhere are not right.

sorry this is very late, I've checked the BIOS Update and it's at the latest currently. I actually noticed it rarely happens now, however it's not after the computer has been on for awhile, it happens randomly from boot. I don't understand my computer and if I built wrong in some way.
