Currently I have an AMD FX-8320 and I was wondering what CPU should I upgrade to? I'm all for Intel or AMD, doesn't matter to me but I would prefer something I could use my corsair h100i CPU cooler with still which puts plenty of things in the mix. Also I would need a MOBO to go with it, doesn't mean bundled or anything but a MOBO suggested with it.

REQUIREMENTS
-Needs to have two dual channel RAM slots as I have 4 sticks of 4 that run at the same speeds but different brands.
-Would like a few PCI and PCIE slots for GPU and Sound Card. GPU is a 770.
-SATA 6MB/s so I can still use my SSD efficiently.

There's not a whole lot of reason to upgrade from a FX-8320. You will get some performance increase from an i5 but not a great deal, probably better off waiting till Skylake comes out next year and here might be more of an performance boost for your money.

Hello,

What are you doing with your system? If gaming, there is no need to upgrade the CPU (for a 1080p monitor, the GPU is also a very good match). If you are doing a lot of video rendering or use professional 3D software, the upgrade worth doing is going for an i7-4820K on the SK2011 platform (it has quad-channel memory interface).

2011 does have advantages for rendering and editing but it's a pretty outdated chipset and I don't know it'd be worth sinking the money into it unless you really needed to. Also given that his memory is different brands the chances of it working in quad channel is pretty unlikely so buying new memory would probably be on the cards.
