Hey guys, just built a computer last night but I can't see get any video output from the on board hdmi or VGA.

Everything powers on including case fans. I tried hdmi through a tv and VGA on a monitor. Had it running in the case and outside the case just to see if it was shorted somewhere. And still nothing when running just one ram stick. Everything is powered on but no luck on the video. Not sure if there is a mobo speaker but I didn't hear any beeps. Can it be my mobo or cpu?

Specs: combo deal from MC msi z97 1150 mobo with Intel g3258.
Psu: Corsair cx 430
Memory: Intel 520 SSD 120gb
Ram: 2x4gb gskill DDR3
Case: Antec 300

Thanks in advance guys.

ok here are two things you could try..

1) resetting the cmos as tradesman1 said
2)if possible borrow a friends graphics card and insert it into the pci e slot and coonect the monitor to see if you get any display,, if so then you can navigate to the bios to see if the primary video output is set to pci e only ,, if so then change it to onboard and then save, power off the pc , remove the graphics card and then coonect the monitor to the onboard and boot.. hope i helped out
