Hi All,

Am looking for some advice on a new build which has all the signs that everything went well, but isn't displaying anything via HDMI out on my TV.

Setup is;

Mobo: ASRock Z97E-ITX/ac
CPU: Intel Core i5 4460 Quad Core LGA 1150 3.2GHz CPU Processor
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1866MHz Memory Blue
PSU: Thermaltake 500W TR2 Bronze TR-500P
HDD: Corsair Force Series 3 60GB SSD
Case: Lian Li PC-Q25 Black Hot Swap Mini Tower Case

When I power up the HTPC, CPU fan works fine, everything sounds like it hums along nicely. I've run it barebones (mobo, CPU and RAM only), and no change. BIOS POST doesn't come up and it's as though there's no signal coming out of my HDMI out (yes i've confirmed it's HDMI out and not HDMI in as this mobo has).

Has anyone had experience with this kind of issue? Is HDMI a 'dormant' option until it's manually selected in bios using DVI? Unfortunately don't have a DVI>HDMI cable to test that port out at this stage.

Have logged a ticket with ASRock, but am getting no response.

Thanks!

Doing some further investigation, it may be the RAM.

Looking at ASRock's website, the exact model of my RAM isn't in their supported RAM list. A variant of my RAM is (HX318C10FWK2), but not my exact model.

Does this sound like a likely case to cause this issue??
