Will it be safe to buy GTX 970?

Hey, I'm gonna get a new graphics card and GTX 970 looks like a good deal. However, I'll have to buy it as soon as it comes out so I'm a bit worried. Buying stuff that's not really fully tested yet seems a bit dangerous. I realize that we're talking about NVidia so it most like will have no problems but still, I wanna get experts opinion on this. Also, it appears that most people say that EVGA is most reliable brand and they even won't void warranty when changing the cooler, but from the review on TechPowerUP it looks just atrocious, I mean 30 Dba idle and 39 load?! My R9 290 from MSI wasn't doing so much noise while benchmarking... and it had twice as big power consumption! Please, tell me what you think about getting this card.

Don't worry too much about it being a new card.

As for branding, its not really that important when it comes to Nvidia cards. VERY few of them fail and VERY few of them are a bad purchase, (assuming an after market cooler ofcourse.)

Get any GTX 970 aftermarket cooled card that fits your fancy.
