Removing Windows 7 and puting in on new pc?

Hello everybody! I am building a new PC for gaming to replace my old Optiplex 780. However, I soon realized i didn't include OS cost in my budget.

Crap.


So what i want to do is remove Windows 7 Ultimate from the Optiplex 780 desktop and put it on my new custom built PC. Is this possible? Please answer. Thanks.

If it came on the PC when it was purchased from Dell then it is OEM. If it came with say, XP and you purchased a full version of Windows 7 then it wouldn't be OEM.

If it is OEM from Dell, you can't move it.
