So now that nvidia has released their new cards and discontinued the gtx 770 they've ruined my plans. I had planned on getting a second gtx 770 this winter but now that's probably not going to happen since the gtx 770s at amazon and newegg have gone up by almost 50 bucks from where they were in the summer. I'm talking about the 4gb version btw which is 400 if it was the 300 2gb version I wouldn't really have a problem.

So onto what I need help with.
Should I A buy a gtx 980 and try to sell the gtx 770 or B keep the single 770 till next year and jump on the 1000 series instead.
I'm happy with the performance one 770 offers and I only wanted to get a second one to future proof it for a bit but now I'm thinking wait till next year and get a single card that is substantially stronger than dual gtx 770s.
What would be better buy a 980 now or get another year out of my gtx 770?
