Compatibility issues in my planned PC build?

I'm itching to build a new PC (this will be my second) after having some problems with my current build (that's a whole other story). I did my research, and I think I have a good CPU and mobo picked out. I do some gaming, Photoshop/Illustrator work, and would like to do some video editing in the future. Nothing too crazy, and I don't have plans to overclock.

CPU: AMD FX-8350 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284
Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131851

For my hard drive, I'm going to use an SSD, the Samsung 840 EVO. I saw mention of problems with Samsung SSDs and ASUS mobos, but I can't find any other information to corroborate this claim. Here's the discussion I found: http://www.overclock.net/t/1437395/asus-m5a99fx-pro-r2-0-ssd-match-up

Does anyone know if this is true? I started having a lot of problems on my last computer when I added the same SSD model to it (I did a clean install and everything), so I'm a little concerned. Is there a non-ASUS brand motherboard people might recommend instead?

Thanks!

yup ur right. theres some problem with the bios though . not sure anyone claimed that updating it will correct the problem. something to do with detection issues.but samsungs 840 evo series is the BEST and Satisfactory. you can change the motherboard though.

Hmm... if this is the case, I'm wondering if I can replace the Samsung SSD in my current computer with a different brand (SanDisk?) and solve the problem (I'm getting buzzing and freezing problems while playing video, starting happening after the SSD install). Can I clone one SSD onto another and be good like you can with HDDs, or do I need to do a clean install?

Edit: Well, according to this, I can just clone it no problem. Doesn't matter if they're different brands, and it's easy if it's the same size or bigger. I think I'll give this a try and attempt to salvage my current system. Thanks for the help!
