I am thinking of getting an LTE connection and connect it to a VPN. I have the following questions just to clarify if what I have in mind is possible and if it works.

1. If for example I subscribe to an LTE promotion (like 1 gig data limit for a month) and connect it to a VPN, will it bypass my data limit and allow me to use the LTE connection uncapped? Is this possible?

2. Provided that my question 1 is possible, can I connect the LTE connection through an ethernet cable or I am stuck with using it wirelessly?

3. LTE is wireless and therefore it may disconnect from time to time, will getting the antenna boosters help prevent this from happening?

I have more questions in mind but I will park it for now. I am still on the process of researching this setup. I hope someone can help me out on this one! Thanks in advance.

1) No. The data still has to go over the mobile network, it just means the network can't read what you're sending. Can still figure out how much.

2) Sort of. You can get a router with ethernet ports and connect a USB LTE stick to it.

3) Maybe. Better to just get an actual antenna. Boosters can often be illegal and carry large fines, as you're using their spectrum without a license.

Thanks for the fast response man! Back to the drawing board for me. I am looking for ways to deal with this capping thingy.

Get a landline connection is about the only option...

You might be able to get a cheaper rural broadband plan, with a permanent install and good antenna.

The thing is my landline sucks while my LTE is wayyyyyyyyyyy better. That's why I was contemplating with going all LTE.
