Hi there.

I'm looking for a PSU for support my Linux servers:

1) Dell PowerEdge T620
- Intel Xeon E5-26XX v2
- HDD SATA2 (x2)
- Psu Dual Hot-Plug Redundant Power Supply (1+1) 750W with Platinum efficiency level

2) PC clone
- Motherboard Asus P8H77-M Pro
- Intel Core I7-3770
- HDD SATA2 (x3) + SSD
- Psu Tacens 650W Radix VI PFC active

I don't need a UPS that keeps them alive so many time. Only it must protege them from high voltaje peaks and casual instant interruptions.

I've used Dell UPS selection tool and recommends me:

Dell Smart-UPS 2200VA LCD 230V

Before I spend this important cost, I'd apreciate your expert opinion about.

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Thanks for your contribution, MeteorsRaining.

Reading:

A surge protector can therefore be thought of as providing protection from excessive levels of electricity only, while a UPS provides protection from both excessive and insufficient levels of electricity.

That's the problem. The servers are hosted in an old building and the power cuts are common (1 or 2 seconds, just a blink).

I need the servers don't shutdown meanwhile.
