Will the GPU industry will reach a 40/60 split?

I am sure its no surprise that more recently AMD has been hurting currently AMD has about 25% market share up from 20% in the GPU space but in the past ATI had about 60% do you think AMD can get back to 40% market share could happen this happen?

I feel like the 970 has a really good price, so unless amd goes all in, I dont see this happening. So it wont happen in the near future, in my opinion.
