seagate drive dead getting western digital quick question

my seagate barracuda died in less then 2 months of ownership. i am getting western digital and should have gotten them in the first place. i was wondering if the black 1tb is really worth the extra money in terms of performance compared to the 1tb blue.

Oh then tbh I would get the blue and look around if you find cheaper deals. The Blue is fine if you are just storing data on it and not the OS. Obv if you really want the black - there's no harm in getting it. Its all up to you.
