As the title suggests, I'm looking to use the PCI and Onboard Graphics ports together to create a multi-monitor setup. I'll spare you my reasoning and request that if anyone knows how this can be done on this motherboard, if they could please reply.

I did a bit of looking around and it appears some people have done it by switching some settings in their BIOS to allow the onboard graphics to not disable when a graphics card is detected. I cannot seem to find this option on my BIOS.

Why do you want to do this though? I am sure the PCI graphics card in itself is capable of the multi monitor. What GPU are you installing? And what CPU do you have (i.e what onboard graphics?)

Well as I mentioned, I will spare you my reasoning. But since you asked, if I have 2 monitors plugged into my GTX 780 Ti, the clocks idle at full speed. It causes more power draw and a higher idle tempurature. When I am running one monitor, it's fine. I am hoping if I can use the onboard graphics, this issue will not occur.

And in case you bother looking up why this occurs, I already found this: http://www.overclock.net/t/1497172/did-you-know-that-ru...

My CPU is an i5-4690k. I don't game on the other monitor, only for monitoring specs, teamspeak, skype, etc. I game strictly on my primary monitor.

Well there isn't a method of doing this that I am aware of unfortunately. The boards are designed so that when a PCIe GPU is detected, the onboard rear i/o display outputs automatically disable.

Alright well I'm asking for someone to post who does. It's been done before, I've read posts of people doing it. I just can't seem to find the option in my BIOS to make it happen.

Anyone have any experience with doing this?
