I just put this new build together a couple of days ago.

Asus Z97-A
8GB GSkill RipJaws 2133
EVGA Supernova G2 750W
i5 4690k
Hyper 212 EVO
Corsair 550D for the new case(LOVE THIS THING)

and I moved over my EVGA GTX 4GB 770, two Samsung and one Intel SSD from my old build as well

I used the auto OC feature in the BIOS thinking everything would be fine. As you see in the pic, that's not the case. I'm not sure what went wrong but I do know that the AUTO feature also boosted the RAM to something like 2185(maybe it was 2195?)

Anyway, I switched everything back to default and as far I can tell there haven't been anymore issues. I would like to OC to at least 4.4, but I don't want to screw up a new built PC just days after putting it together.

Can anyone think of other reasons why this may have happened. There is clear artifcating of some sort in that pic.

I RMA'd the GPU just a couple of weeks before this new build. EVGA either replaced it with a refurbished one or sent me back the card I sent them. They told me over the phone they "ran many tests" and the card had shown no signs of being faulty. I don't know if other games were having the issue. When I seen that in Far Cry 3, I immediately set everything back to stock. I couldn't say if the auto OC feature OC'd the GPU as well. I suppose it's possible. I know I didn't manually OC the GPU if that's what you're asking.

try running games like crysis 3 on ultra with oc and check if there is a fault also chech the fps of the game using fraps, or do u have any gpu benchmark tool like 3d mark or like msi has msi kombuster ? If yes run the test OCeing the cpu and also set the ram multiplier as auto to mark the timing acc to the cpu. There is a slight chance that the game is missing some textures. Do these test to confirm it.
