the website says it will do 4 way SLI so as long as your cards fit it will work.

are you gaming at 4k or at least 1600p

First I'd do some checking on the capacitors in the RM1000. Many RM series units have cheap caps in them

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/nvidia_geforce_gtx...

Quote:
Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 970 or 980 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 500 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 970 or 980 in 2-way SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have an 800 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

If you are going to overclock your GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina.

With TDP at 170 watts in the test .... 1,000 looking a little tight, outta the question of OC'ing ....at least based upon Guru3D testing and I wouldn't push on RM unit close t its rated capacity because of the caps.

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...

Quote:
Thermal and Power Specs:
98 C = Maximum GPU Tempurature (in C)
165 W = Graphics Card Power (W)
500 W = Minimum System Power Requirement (W)
2x 6-pins = Supplementary Power Connectors

At 500 watts for the system and 1st card and then 2 x 170 for the 2nd and 3rd .... that's 840 so if it was a better PSU (EVGA G2 series Corsair HX series, Seasonic X or M12 series) , I'd have no issue with the 1000 watts ... even overclocked. The RM however, makes me a little nervous.

Yup can easily do 3-way SLI. With the 5930k you have 40 PCI-E lanes so you'll likely configure your motherboard slots 16x/16x/8x. Even though the last card will only run at 8x with PCI-E 3.0 bandwidth shouldn't be any issues.
