I'm already have 1 evga superclocked 770 2gb and I was thinking about adding another one. Should I go with 2 in sli or 1 of the new gtx 980s, I have a corsair tx 750 power supply and I would probably have to upgrade that as well with 2 770s so i'm kinda torn any suggestions?

are you happy with your single 770? are you planning on going 1440p or higher? a 770@1080p should still be more than adequate performance wise. i would say just stick with what you got until gm210 comes out. if nvidia follows its pattern, we should see it(gtx1000, gtx1000ti?) sometime next year around this time. but no doubt gm210 will be roughly to the gm204 as the gk110 is to the gk104, and a true single card 4k option in a 300w envelope.

Get 1 980, it requires less power and can handle 4k easily.

I am happy with 1 770 right now but when I upgrade gpus I am also going to be going to a 27" 1440p monitor along with my 23" 1080p monitor so I definitely need some more horsepower to drive them

i wouldn't say easily, but if you are conservative with settings and dont feel the need to max out everything like many who post questions here would like to do, it is more than capable of handling 4k.

Your side monitor will not impact gaming.

I would do the upgrade to the monitor first. You will have a better idea of what you really need.
I suspect the GTX770 will perform decently.
If you need more, I think I would sell the GTX770 and look for either a GTX970 or a GTX980.
Because their power requirements are so low, you could eventually run either of them in sli.

I think the GTX770 would perform in fps benchmarks, but I worry about dual card issues and the need for a 850w psu.

I am in a similar position with a GTX780 and two 30" 2560 x 1600 monitors. Performance for me is fine, now, but I am looking to a 4k monitor.
I plan to sit where I am until I see what becomes available in a 40-50" 4k monitor.
