So the GTX980 has a bus width of 256-bit, whereas I believe the 780 had a bus width of 384-bit. Furthermore, the memory bandwidth is less than that of a 2011 card, the HD7970 (224 GB/s vs. 264 GB/s).
Is this tech seriously last gen, or is there something I'm missing here? I would've thought bigger bus+more bandwidth = better card?
