I am working on a project for a competition. I am trying to combine an Xbox, a Game Cube, and a PS2. I need to shrink things in the Xbox down a bit. Does anyone know of a way that I can replace the Xbox's DVD drive with a slim drive?

If you would like to follow along with the project, go to my website at www.comptekusa.webs.com. There will be pictures of every step of the way.

No, the original Xbox drive, like the 360, has code on it to only make those types of drives work and to allow them to read original games.

My suggestion would be to softmod all of them, if allowed in your country, and put a hard drive with the games on it that all 3 of them could access.

I thought about doing something like that, however, I decided against it. I know that there is a special firmware on the drive. Would it be possible to put the firmware on to a slim drive?
