So I recently bought a ASUS GeForce ROG Matrix GTX 780Ti 3GB considering I was going to buy the new Asus ROG G-sync Swift monitor.

Today, the new 980's were released and I've been asking some of my friends if I should return my 780Ti and buy one of the new 980's, but they keep saying I shouldn't for some reason.. because the 780Ti is better?

I've been looking at the specs of them both and to me(I'm almost don't know anything about GPU's), it looks like the 980's are way better.

What do you guys think?

I say return the 780ti, grab the 980 for a better performing and less expensive card.

no the 980 is better, but barely. It was only supposed to be a replacement for the 780 ti not to out perform it. The 980 is a few fps better and way better tdp. So if you can return it and get all the money back, then do it. if you cant its not a big deal unless you got it for 700 dollars then its abig deal because the 980 is only 550 now

If you can I'd go the 980, looks like they may be discontinuing the 780TIs as it's priced higher and performs lower
