Hello friends, this is my first time participating here after 7 years just anonymously reading the forums.

I have in hands my client's HD6970 XFX single blower fan (reference design), the card presented high temperatures earlier this month, due to the worn out TIM.

Applied MX-2 and the card was way better.
Weeks passed with everything glorious... and now my client's card is non stop 100%RPM (unbearable) and with a marvelous -127ºC (yes, negative).

The card is actually warm to the touch while Furmark is running, but not close to hot (thanks to the 6K RPM fan blowing my ears off).

It isn't a driver issue, tested on my test bed and his PC with fresh drivers.

Has the sensor gone south or is it a VGA BIOS issue? If any or both, is there any known way to make it work again?
If I have to replace the sensor, where is it? if it is inside the DIE its FUBAR to me.

Thank you for your time, sorry for the bad "Hue land" english and have a wonderful day.
