Hello guys!
I have very weird problem. I am running a PowerColor HD6870 + Pentium 3258 (stock) + 2x4GB A-Data XPG + AsRock Z97 Anniversary + WD CaviarBlack 1.0TB + 2case fans + CM 212EVO with 300W PSU FSP (I know its kinda low, but listen..)
When I play. sometimes I got screen stuck and turning into lines and squares (full screen) in few colors. For example, white lines with black squares or so. It is happening only when I am playing games. At first, I thought that it is because of the PSU, cos it is lil bit low. Then I have downloaded 3dMark 11, FurMark, memtest, and Prime95. I have tested EVERYTHING and the problem didn't appear. 3dMark11 finished succesfull @ max settings and 1080p, FurMark have been stressing for 15mins (got GPU to 88-90C and fan @ 95%) memtest have been done to all 8gigs for 20mins - nothing, Prime have been runing for two hours - the CPU didn't even get over 35C. And the problem DIDNT APPEAR!!! Minutes after that, when I switched to 10 years old World of Warcarft (Vanilla) the computer stuck and had to be rebooted. When I say stuck, I mean that the screen turns into squares and lines, but the sound contiunes in the background (Spotify) I have tried to remove the GPU and play with the integrated HD Graphics, everything is fine - no problem with it.
So, now I am asking. Could it be really because of the PSU? I know its very small, but why then stress tests have been completed? I have orderded Tier3 500W PSU but I am not sure that it will fix the problem! Whats your opinion guys? Thanks!
