To know if a graphics card will work in the computer are the only things I need to worry about the PSU power and the correct ports being available or do I need to worry about something like physical size and it fitting in the case? Thanks!

you need to worry about, psu, pcie slot, and like you said also, whether it will fit in your case, most mid and all full towers will fit any gpu

You basically need to worry about these things:

- sufficient power from PSU (minimum system power requirements for a GPU can be found on its specifications page)
- whether or not your motherboard has a PCIe 2.0x16 or higher slot, if applicable to the GPU
- space within your computer case for the card to fit. Generally, if your case will fit an ATX or larger motherboard (not micro-ATX or mini-ITX) then all mainstream graphics cards will fit.

You should also keep in mind that a very fast GPU can be bottlenecked by a very slow CPU, so don't buy parts that are too far separated from each other.

Okay so as long as it's not one of those mini cases I shouldn't have a problem?

some micro atx cases don't support long gpu lengths either, but a mid tower should be able to fit any card, and a full tower definitely will fit it, make sure your psu supply's enough watts/amps too
