all my games keep crashing. i need help

I play both skyrim and assassins creed 4 and they both keep crashing when i try to play them. It makes it impossible to play. When ac4 crashes it usually says ac4bfsp.exe stopped working and for skyrim it just crashes. im not sure if it is my pc or not but here are my specs:

Asus GTX 660
AMD FX 4130
8 gb of ram
win 7 home premium

Also my ram is laptop ram that uses a adapter to desktop. Any help would be great.

Do you think it is possible that it went bad? Because i have had this build for about 8 months now and have had no issues.
