High end CPU with low end graphic card ?

I am upgrading my pc part by part,so first i am buying FX-8350 and motherboard and PSU. All other components will stay the same,i have 6670 1GB and 4 GB RAM, i have x2 250athlon II X2 250, will i see any improvement in fps on low-medium settings? if not i am just going to put it aside and wait to get all other components (R9 290x if never settle:space edition game bundle is still available,if not gtx 780,8 GB RAM,SSD,and computer case).

Probably not too noticeable since most games are GPU bound. That 4 gigs of RAM might hobble it a bit. And I would suggest the GTX 970 instead of either of those, performs nearly on par with the R9 290X for only $330 and has 4 gigs of VRAM.
