Within the next week i'll be purchasing a brand new gtx 970, i'll be watercooling it few months later. So my question is, what type of 970 cards have a reference pcb (or will the reference design become available for the consumer?) or should i pick a custom cooler like asus which might get an ek blok like some other card already have? Any info is welcome :) thanks

Solution
No point buying a card which has a good cooling system then watercooling it, just get one with a reference pcb, since you will change teh cooler anyway

I cant seem to find a lot of waterblocks for non reference evga cards, unlike asus. Right know im considering the asus strix card, anyone know anything about strix cards and watercooling? there isnt a lot about it on the web :|

The problem is that some of those custom cards are actually binned for higher overclocking.

turns out that the inno3d gtx 970 and the zotac gtx 970 are both using a reference pcb, im considering one of those. Does anyone have any experience with similar cooled cards??
