Alright so I have a 780 Ti Classified from EVGA, I spent at least $760 on the card just a few months ago and I have been loving its performance. Now that the 980 is outis it worth it? I do NOT care about power draw, just the performance against a single Classified card. JUST the classified series not the stock config for 780 Tis. Is it worth the upgrade and why

Solution
There's a very small performance increase in 980. There's no reason to upgrade at all.
If you don't care for the power draw and would like a huge performance increase then just get another 780 Ti and put them in SLI. I'm positive that 780 Ti will have a drop in it's price now that the new series was released.

Are there games where you are having low FPS or poor performance? If not, then don't upgrade. Simple as that.

Apart from which, even over the stock 780 Ti, the 980 seems to be only a small improvement, so it won't be worth it.

Always wait until you need a new improvement for you to feel that games are playable at the setting you want before upgrading. There will always be something stronger / cheaper in six months.
