cant overclock cpu

i have been trying to overclock my cpu and the thing is everything im supposed to change (cpu clock ratio, multipliers, cpuvid) is all set on auto and i cant get it out. i press enter on them and nothing happens. im trying to over clock an fx 8320 on a ga-970a-ud3p and im using a nh d14 heatsink if that helps any.

does clicking on them or pressing the other arrow keys bring up other options?

no nothing, if i press enter or click on them noyjing happens. if i press the left or right arrow keys it takes me to the system info tab.

they arent grayed out are they?that would mean your bios is locked.if this is the case look for a bios update that addresses this issue.

no their not grated out. they look just like the rest of the options i can change except for the fact that it is stuck on auto

I have the same motherboard. You have to manually put in values for it to change. Instead of hitting 'enter' or the up/down key, type in the value for the multiplier you want (ie - 40 for 4.0ghz).
