Hello, I am looking to build a gaming computer, and I got a build that looked pretty good, but now I'm wondering if I should change the graphics card.

The build is as so
Quote:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($339.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($139.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Sniper Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($153.00 @ Newegg)
Storage: Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($104.99 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($52.91 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($379.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced ATX Full Tower Case ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Rosewill Capstone 650W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: LG WH16NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ OutletPC)
Total: $1495.81

It looks like the video card has only one hdmi port, which won't do because I use multiple monitors. Also, a friend of mine was strongly recommending that I get a video card made by nvidia, or at least with nvidia drivers. I was wondering what a good nvidia video card would be, that supports multiple monitors, and can smoothly run games such as bioshock infinite and GLSL shaded minecraft, preferably under $500.

Thank you so much.

Unless I'm mistaken, there are not many graphic cards that have more than one HDMI port. I'd second the recommendation for the GTX 970 (assuming you can find one in stock). Otherwise, stick with the R9-290.

Hm, that does look good, would it be worth getting the 980? It's a lot more expensive, but I'm not sure if it's worth it for the power

The Nvidia GTX 700 and 900 series cards can support up to 4 monitors.
Cards won't usually have more than one hdmi output, but you can use DVI to HDMI cables if your monitors only support hdmi. Typically they would have DVI or Displayport inputs as well.
The GTX 750 Ti is fast enough for minecraft and Bioshock Infinite:

If you want a faster card, the new GTX 970 is amazing and still within your price range.
In between these two are the GTX 760 and GTX 770 if you can get them for a good price.
I certainly wouldn't consider the R9 290 unless it was substantially cheaper than the GTX 970.

Currently, the games that you play are not nearly graphically demanding enough to fully utilize the 980. However, I found that if you have a shiny GPU then you're much more willing to try those high-graphics games to "take it for a spin" so to speak.
