Is a Corsair AX1200 PSU enough for this as I already have it:
3-Way 780Ti SLI +100mhz core, +200mhz memory
4930K 4.5ghz
Rampage IV black edition
32 gigs 4X8Dimm ram stick
Corsair H100i cooler
2x SSD
1x 7200 HD
many miscellaneous fans in Coolermaster Haf-X case

I've tried online PSU calculators and the numbers are all over the place. They have ranged from 1000 watts to 3000 watts.

Basically I already have this system running on the AX1200 except I picked up a used 780Ti off ebay for $300 since they are going for cheap now because of the 980's. Just want to know if I will have enough juice to add in the 3rd card. These are all EVGA's with reference blower coolers.

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 780 Ti - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 780 Ti 2-way SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 800 Watt power supply unit as minimum.
GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3-way SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 1200 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

If you are going to overclock your GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina.

So this says 1200watt minimum and below that says they recommend purchasing something with with extra stamina. Are you saying the Ax1200 is fine or not quite good enough?

I didn't say anything :).... the folks at Guru3D did all the testing and recommending.

Note however they used a "Our test system is based on a power hungry six-core Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E based setup on the X79 chipset platform. This setup is overclocked to 4.60 GHz on all cores." Your 4930k draws a similar amount as I recall. If you had a Haswell, that pulls about 100 watts less so you'd be fine.....plus you have the water pump which my guess pulls another 20 watts or so.

I have a system with two water pumps, Haswell, 2 SSDs, 2 SSHds, 15 fans. It pulls 745 watts from the wall (using Kil-o-Watt meter) under Furmark and if I loaded up the CPU along with the GPUs full tilt, I guess I could get to 800 watts or so.....that would equate to about 720 watts of DC Output. Going twin 780 Tis, it puts out 30 watts more.

So doing the math 750 watts + 100 for your CPU + 275 for the 3rd GPU - 20 watts for my 2nd pump = about 1100 watts.

Keep in mind that over time, capacitor aging could take 10 - 15% of that away.

If it were me....since you have the thing already, I'd invest $20 in a kil-0-watt meter and plug in ya puter .... not the monitor or other accessories. Hook everything up and stress test. The AX1200i is about 89% efficient at that level loading

At 1,020 watts output (85% load), you should pull 1150 watts from the wall.... I wouldn't push it much more than that. Given that under "realistic scenarios, you will never see both CPU and all 3 GPUs at 100%.

The simple way is .....

Pull one of the 780 Tis .... run your stress test and record the wattage "at the wall" with just one 780 Ti .... say 540 watts
Put it back in and .... run your stress test and record the wattage "at the wall" with the two 780 Ti's .... say 825 watts

The difference will be what the 3rd card will add ~ 285 watts

You can therefore expect 825 + 285 = 1110 watts....since the 1200i is 90% efficient up near full load, the PSU is outputting 1110 x 0.90 or 1,035 watts or 999 watts which is 83% of full load and I'd be comfy w/ that

Yea it will be fine. The ax1200i is very well built. once you get ur new card, you can use the corsair link power monitoring to see how much power u are pulling. It will tell you if you need to upgrade ur psu.

And under regular loads, you wont even come close to 1200w, its just when you stress test all 3 gpus and cpu, when you might come close to pulling that much power.

Thanks for all the information guys. I was hoping to not go out and purchase another power supply.

Oh and I have an AX1200 not the AX1200i. So no corsair link software. Other then that I think they are about the same thing right?

If I play Crysis 3 all maxed out at 1440p I am only at about 73% of the TDP according to Rivatuner.

Do think think they will stay cool enough in my case? Its a Haf-X with a 200mm fan blowing on them. The Rampage IV black edition has spacing between the cards so they are not smashed together. And these are the reference blower coolers.

I'd like it if it was a more modern case .... I like to mount extra fans on the back of the HD caged which blow right between the cards. I wish ya didn't have the h100i .... if ya had the H220-X, you could just add a radiator and some tubing fittings and a set of water blocks and water cool the cards. It's been a while since I used an HAF but I don't remember them being to friendly to water cooling but an external rad would work.
