It has been a few weeks since I was able to keep a stable internet connection. Since then, I've not been able to connect to the internet smoothly for no longer than a few minutes at a time (I can connect to the internet just fine with my ipad as well as my itouch). It started when I was downloading something overnight and when I woke up in the morning, the internet became really slow despite having full signal.

I'm really not tech savy, but I have tried some methods from these websites:
http://www.fixedbyvonnie.com/2013/10/how-to-fix-limited-or-no-connectivity-wi-fi-issues-in-windows-8/#.VBy3kGK9KSO
http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-604532-connected-but-no-internet-access

And I have scanned with malwarebytes and I even wiped the hard drive and installed a fresh copy of windows 8.1.

I'm currently on windows 8.1 and using to-link n900 adapter and belkin n750 router flashed with a asus firmware.

Any help would be appreciated.

lol u were right, i installed a new copy of ubuntu and the internet has been working flawlessly. Is there any know fixes for windows 8?

TPLINK is probably scrambling to fix the drivers.....the latest updates from Microsoft on Windows 8.1 has created issues for quite a few hardware/software companies - I have used Synergy virtual keyboard/mouse for years without issue - the latest 8.1 update created problems where the shift key no longer works on the client PC.....so I had to switch to another virtual KVM.....
