I just built my second pc under a week ago. It was a 6300 fx amd with 670 gpy, on a MSI 970 G43 motherboard witha western digital 1tb blue caviar hdd, 430 corsair CX series 80+ bronze with hyperx 1866mhz (2x4gb) RAM. Now i used this pc for two days until i started getting a lot of crashing/freezing and not responding messages on every program i used. I ran a Memtest (.org) and found over 400 errors with the memory in under 20 hours. I sent the RAM back to amazon and got a replacement for the same RAM back, now I have been using my pc for about around 9 hours now and at the start it was playing up, then i played Borderlands 2 with a friend for about 6 hours with no trouble other than a crash at the end. Now after i closed down the game i have had constant freezing and crashing along with the notorious not responding messages. Another problem i had was booting up and it would be slow and would take multiple attempts to get to the desktop.

Is this a normal problem or is it something i need to get sorted out, I just cant believe that this type of ram has broke on me twice in a very short amount of time.
Another guess I have is it might be my Windows, i have a 32 bit windows torrent that I booted up with a USB first time (didnt have enough money for a full version). Is the the 32 bit of the windows effecting the RAM?
Also are there any programs out there that can fix my RAM problems if that is what my problem is? Any questions feel free to ask.

With 32-bit Windows - you won't be able to recognize more than 3.5GB of RAM (1/2 of your RAM) - you need the 64-bit version to see all 8GB.

I would suggest getting a proper version of Windows to be sure that it is working properly - programs from the torrents aren't always fully functional....

Legitimate copies of Windows 7 and/or Windows 8 all cost approximately the same (within a few £) because Microsoft doesn't give the stores much room to discount their software.
